I’ve taken a test to find out what kind of American accent I have (2 times). I’ve always wondered what it might be, but at first the results surprised me A LOT!
Take a look:

They told me that I had a Boston accent, which I think is hilarious! I did some research and I must say that I strongly disagree with the results because I do pronounce r’s all the time. There was no way I could sound like someone from that area, so I decided to try and take the test one more time.

And the second time it showed more true-to-life results, which I was pretty content with. The thing that confused me the most was the question whether or not you can rhyme the words “bag” and “vague”. And that was also the question that changed my results. When I said I couldn’t rhyme those words, I was said to have a Boston accent, and vice versa I had a Western accent. It’s still a mystery to me why it was that way, but hey, things happen. :)
